Atagoyama
Mount. Atago (observatory deck)
Approx. 15 minutes drive from our hotel
Mount. Atago is named after the Atago shrine located in the mountain, which is famous for the mystical legends depicting the spot for love fulfillment. The approx. 300-degree panoramic view at the observatory deck made the spot the only place designated as “Japan night view heritage” in Miyazaki prefecture.

Sweet fish fishing weir (early Oct – early Dec)
Approx. 10 minutes drive from our hotel
The “Sweet fish fishing weir” is a spot in where visitors can see traditional fishing with bamboo drainboards. It is the autumn tradition in Nobeoka with a history over 300 years, which is designated as one of the “100 traditional sceneries” by Ministry of the Environment, Japan. Don’t miss out the sweet fish cuisine in the restaurants nearby. (*early Oct – early Dec)
